If you’re looking for something fascinating and photography related to do this month we highly recommend paying a visit to the yearly ARGRA photojournalism exhibit going on at the Palais de Glace in Recoleta. The 2013 photojournalism exhibition features a mix of some of the best photos of the year from Argentine photographers working around the world. If you’re visiting Buenos Aires or living here, the exhibit really gives you a special inside look at the important events in the country in 2013. Besides photographs from Argentina, you’ll also find an interesting cross-section of photographs that show cultural activities and news events in South America and the rest of the world.
The exhibit can be found on the first floor of the Palais de Glace (Posadas 1725, Recoleta). On the ground floor you can also visit an exhibit celebrating 30 years of democratic photojournalism, which gives an interesting look into events in Argentina since the military dictatorship of the late 1970s / early 1980s.
The 2013 photojournalism exhibition runs until 18 August, has a free entry, and is open Tuesday to Friday from 12 – 20 hs, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 – 20 hs.
